Sarah + Jonathan // Austin, Texas

I’ve started and restarted this blog about a hundred times because these two people are so amazing and I just want to find the right words, well I guess it’s going to be a lot of words.

Sarah and I worked together at Livestrong and before we were in the same department, I secretly wanted to be her friend. Sarah is one of the sweetest people I know. She’s super thoughtful, always willing to listen, lots of fun, and a level headed problem solver. She has been my life coach, my therapist, my travel buddy (especially in New York’s smallest hotel room), my team mate and most importantly a truly amazing friend who has always been there for me whether I need a good laugh, a good cry, or just a good glass of wine. She’s the kind of friend I aspire to be and I couldn’t be more thankful for our friendship.

The first time I met Jonathan he actually came over to my apartment parking lot to help us put a dog crate on Sarah’s Jeep before she headed home for Christmas. We thought we could do it ourselves, but standing in the cold with rope in our hands and no idea what we were doing we quickly decided we should call for re-enforcements. My first impression of Jonathan was that he was there for my friend whenever she needed help, even if it was simple 5 minutes of tying some rope. As the months went bye it was easy to see how happy Jonathan made Sarah. They laughed together (a lot), Jonathan became a CAPS fan, they watched The Office together (the sign of any awesome relationship), they traveled together, they did sweet things for each other, and best of all they always supported each other through this crazy life. When Jonathan got down on one knee on a beach in Maryland late this summer in front of Sarah’s family and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together she happily said yes. I can’t wait to celebrate the start of their next chapter together in October.

All you want for your friends is for them to find someone that makes them light up in the darkest days, smile nonstop, and be life’s biggest cheerleader. I’m so glad you both found each other. Thank you for letting me photograph your happiness, I’m so happy for you friends.

Special thanks to the sweetest boyfriend ever for braving the cold and the rain to carry my bag and take some really awesome photos too. You’re the best Chad :)
